Since 1989, our bespoke range of baths are custom made by hand.
Over the centuries, baths have been made from many different materials. From the Romans carving baths out of solid marble or terracotta, to 19th century tinsmith’s moulding baths out of copper or zinc. Later, powdered porcelain enamel was moulded onto cast iron to create a vitreous enameled cast iron bath. Then pressed steel baths were another less heavy option.
As bathing became more popular, cheaper and lighter options were introduced. Recently, there has been a move to using a mineral composite resin cast in a mould to form solid stone like bath. Our technology has created a combination of the best materials and methods to form a bath. The inner surface is smooth cast acrylic bonded to an outer surface of strong cast mineral composite resins.
The end result delivers a durable bath of exceptional strength with a smooth, non-porous and stain resistant inner surface. Our baths are easy to clean and energy saving by being highly heat retentive. Another feature is they are relatively lightweight compared to cast iron baths and easy to install. We are proud to have our baths feature in some of the most prestigious hotels, lodges and homes around the world.
